UF is a pressure-driven membrane filtration technology used to treat various types of water and wastewater to remove suspended solids and solutes.
Membrane filtration has four filtration ranges. This enables the target particles to be removed and the target particles to remain in the liquid. Filtration ranges are microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. What makes the filtration range different is the selectivity of the membrane, also known as rejection. UF separates high molecular weight suspended solids and solutes in the 0.01 to 0.1 micron range. A micron is one millionth of a meter. Among other things, UF can be used to remove bacteria, viruses, colloids, proteins, pyrogens and pathogens. This technology is used in several industries to treat a variety of water and wastewater.
Characteristics of Ultrafiltration Water Treatment System
1, ultrafiltration equipment control system can be personalized design according to the specific requirements of users, combined with advanced control software, on-site centralized monitoring of important process operation parameters, to avoid manual misoperation, multi-directional to ensure long-term stable operation of the system.
2, ultrafiltration equipment system recovery rate is high, the product quality is good, can realize the material of efficient separation, purification and high multiple concentration.
3. There is no phase change in the treatment process, and no adverse effect on the composition of the material.
4, ultrafiltration equipment system low energy consumption, short production cycle, compared with the traditional process equipment, equipment operation cost is low, can effectively reduce the cost of production, improve the economic benefits of enterprises.
5. The advantages of ultrafiltration technology are simple operation, low cost and no need to increase any chemical reagents.
How does Ultrafiltration Water Treatment System work?
Ultrafiltration, also known as UF system, is used to retain colloid-sized particles in water while allowing water and low molecular weight solutes to pass through a membrane. The mechanism of ultrafiltration refers to the comprehensive effect of mechanical sieving on the membrane surface, membrane pore blocking and adsorption on the membrane surface and membrane pores, mainly sieving.

Ultrafiltration is one of membrane separation techniques driven by pressure. For the purpose of separating large and small molecules, the pore size of the membrane is between 20-1000A°. Hollow fiber ultrafilter (membrane) has the advantages of high filling density per unit container and small footprint.
Ultrafiltration is a pressurized membrane separation technology, that is, under a certain pressure, the small molecules of solute and solvent through a specific aperture of the membrane, while the large molecules of solute can not penetrate, left on one side of the membrane, so that the macromolecular material has been partially purified. Ultrafiltration is one of membrane separation techniques driven by pressure. For the purpose of separating large and small molecules.
Flow chart of Ultrafiltration Water Treatment System
Raw water + original water tank + original water pump + sand filter + carbon filter + security filter + UF system + pure water tank + UV sterilizer (ozone generation)+ precision filter + water supply point
Ultrafiltration Water Treatment System steps:
1. Sand filter: use 0.5-1 mm sand medium. The filter can be as small as 200 microns in size. Some large suspended solids such as suspended solids, rust, mud, impurities, etc. can be trapped by the medium bed. And removed from the water. steps
2, activated carbon filter: can absorb some organic matter, dissolved air, smell and color substances. steps
3, softener (optional): the use of cation exchange resin to remove calcium, magnesium and other soft water.
4, micron filter: use 5-20 micron precipitate cartridge filter/bag filter, remove the suspended solid through the pretreatment. So the RO entrance is more secure.
5. Ultrafiltration system (ultrafiltration membrane intercepts most ions. Demineralization/desalination, etc. The output will be pure water.
6, ultraviolet sterilizer (ozone generator): used to kill bacteria in water, safe to drink.
